Aspect Consulting and Training Ltd (ACTL) has extensive experience in capacity building within the logistics and freight forwarding
sectors across the East African Community (EAC). Over the years, ACTL has delivered impactful interventions, including the development
of training programs, materials, and facilitation of Training of Trainers (ToT) programs to enhance professionalism and
operational efficiency in the sector.
Capacity Building for Freight Forwarders and Warehousing Operators:
2020: Developed and implemented Competency-Based Training Programs for a Diploma and Certificate in Freight Logistics for Freight Forwarders
and Warehouse Operators in East Africa for the Federation of East African Freight Forwarders Associations (FEAFFA).
Facilitation of National Training of Trainers (ToT) Programs:
2020-2021: Facilitated National Training of Trainers (ToT) sessions for the updated Diploma and Certificate in Freight Logistics Curriculum for FEAFFA.
2016: Conducted capacity-building training for members of the Rwanda Logistics Forum (RLF) on Freight Forwarding and Logistics Practices, focusing on INCOTERMS 2010.
2012: Facilitated the rollout of the East Africa Heavy Commercial Truck Driver Training Program for KTA and USAID COMPETE.
Research and Policy Support:
Conducted an Impact Study of Road Cabotage on Rwanda’s Freight and Transport Industry, supported by PSF and Rwanda Shippers Council (RSC).
Developed COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Transporters and Freight Forwarders in EAC to enhance sector resilience and continuity.
Development of Training Materials and Resources:
2018: Designed training materials for Corporate Governance Training for the Water Service Providers (WSPs) in Kenya under the USAID KIWASH Project.
2016: Developed specialized training resources on INCOTERMS 2010 for the Rwanda Logistics Forum (RLF) through PSF and Rwanda Shippers Council (RSC), supported by TMEA.
2012: Created training materials for the East Africa Heavy Commercial Truck Driver Training Program for the Kenya Transporters Association (KTA) and USAID COMPETE.
Enhancing Professionalism in the Logistics Sector:
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Programs: ACTL designed CPD programs for Freight Forwarders in the EAC, enhancing sector professionalism and skills development.
